I bought my first R/C-helicopter in the summer 2005 (Graupner Bell 47G) and shortly later my first simulator. Since then, the aerodynamics of helicopters is a fascinating issue in my life (see, e.g. my articles in Rotor (german only) Rotor 3/2007, Rotor 4/2007). Since then, plans grew to implement my own helicopter simulator. At the end, it was not so easy, but now, a first version of HELI-X is available. Though I have had offers to sell HELI-X to R/C-helicopter manufacturers, I decided to offer it free of charge for download.

Hundreds of hours of my spare time were spent for the development of HELI-X. Hours, where I could have earned money by other activities. On the other hand, you get a simulator which is said to have a better simulation engine than many other products which are quite expensive. So it would be really great if you would donate for the development and the download of the program (of course only if you like HELI-X). Surely, the HELI-X story continues, and HELI-X will get better and better. Enough plans are at hand.
